William Jewell College
Outcomes
Participants in a Community Conversation develop ideas for improving
METS education in Liberty.
The organizing team is currently working on the final
report. So far three common, high priority areas were identified
in the closing reports from the discussion groups:
- Partnerships – developing ongoing relationships
between students,
educators, parents and industry professionals/local businesses
to 'close the loop' between education and the real-world
- Awareness – ensuring all stakeholders have
a common understanding of
future job skill requirements, METS education opportunities & approaches,
and educational goals, outcomes and constraints
- Curricular Opportunities – utilizing the most effective
curricula
and/or models of learning to engage students in and foster METS
education goals
