What we heard

This page summarizes the results of One KC Voice's public input work on this project. To learn more, or to provide your thoughts on regional transit or the results listed here, visit the Smart Moves site.

Community discussions

There were 25 community discussions held across the metro area between September and December 2007. Each discussion consisted of anywhere from two to 25 people answering questions about their experience with public transit and their hopes for improvements.

Notes from each meeting will open below in PDF format. There is also a fact sheet that covers some of the basic themes heard during the series:

Workshops

For these two workshops, we invited citizens to sit around a table and draw on maps where they thought improved or new public transit should travel. Groups were asked to brainstorm possible routes, then identify which ones should be priorities based on criteria that they developed.

A summary of the criteria that helped citizens identify their priority corridors and summaries of all suggested priority and brainstormed corridors are provided here. Individual results for each group that participated in the workshops are also posted here.

All maps will open in PDF format.
