We believe that the best solutions are reached collaboratively, and we take pride in the ability of our program to provide creative, innovative methods of engaging different stakeholders.
We strive to build a culture of civic engagement in Greater Kansas City
Sure, we do fantastic work for our clients, but our program is about much more than a checklist of projects. We continually strive to build forums for public participation so that better decisions can be made by our region's leaders. We don't just build relationships for one goal — we nurture them for the long haul. One KC Voice's vision is of a highly collaborative region with many outlets for the average citizen to participate in local governance, and all of our work is geared toward raising the profile of civic engagement.
We have a network of highly respected community organizations that value public input as much as we do
Our network not only serves as an outlet through which we gather input, it's a foundation for building a strong culture of civic engagement in Greater Kansas City. Through our partners, we broadcast news about events, find new issues to pursue, and receive invaluable support.
We approach each issue differently
We don't have one set way of doing things. Some issues require long-term relationship building — so we build them. Some issues are better suited to experiential activities — so we design them. Others may require facilitated community conversations — so we plan and hold them. We approach each issue the way we feel it needs to be approached, not the way it's always been done; we're flexibile, creative and love developing new tools.
Here are just a few methods we use to gather input:
