Our program is committed to giving every Greater Kansas City citizen a voice in local issues. We conduct honest public input projects that seek authentic information about vital community issues. Citizens can become involved by attending local events, training to become a facilitator, or interacting with us via our blog.
One KC Voice works with communities across the Kansas City region to help governments make smarter decisions. We've worked in eight different counties to gather input from citizens on programs, services, projects, controversial issues and proposals of all kinds.
We work with nonprofit, neighborhood and community organizations that value community input and ideas. Organizations can become members of our Citizen Engagement Network. We've also worked with national organizations seeking input from citizens on specific issues.
We give people who find it difficult to engage a place and a voice in public decision-making. We regularly conduct community conversations in Spanish with the help of local communities, and we strive to make connections with organizations that represent low-income, minority, disabled or ESL groups.
