Partner and member opportunities
Want to help give citizens a voice in decisions about public issues in the Kansas City metro area? Consider becoming a One KC Voice member.
One KC Voice relies on an involved group of partners and members to carry out its mission. Membership is open to organizations, individuals and corporations that wish to support citizen engagement in Greater Kansas City: Partners, Network Members and Individual Members.
Partners
Membership as a PARTNER is open to organizations with programs and missions consistent with One KC Voice’s mission to create opportunity for the public to impact public issues through dialogue and deliberation. Partners embrace the guiding principles of One KC Voice even though citizen engagement may not be their central mission.
Partner organizations may include:
- Government agencies and organizations
- Academic organizations
- Nonprofit organizations
- Organizations that strongly affect citizen engagement
Partner organizations are eligible for a seat on the 14-member Advisory Committee as they become open. Partners provide the guidance and direction for One KC Voice, and through their members and staff may participate in all One KC Voice committees and projects.
Network members
These organizations agree to host One KC Voice engagements, publicize the events, or recruit participants, subject to the member’s calendar and capacity. Partners also may serve as Network Members. Network Members provide guidance on issues important in the community and may participate in all projects and events.
Network Members may include private companies. Examples include: churches, libraries, social service agencies, neighborhood councils and associations, community centers and citizens’ groups.
