A group of citizens discusses sustainability issues during a breakout session at the Imagine KC kickoff event.
Construct. Connect. Consume:
Creating a sustainable Kansas City region, one idea at a time
What should our region look like in 20, 30 or 40 years? How can Greater Kansas City build a sustainable future? It's up to you to tell us. This innovative community engagement project will span seven months and involve thousands of citizens — and you're invited to participate.
The results will shape local decisions for years to come: Elected officials, planners and other local leaders want to hear what you have to say. Local leaders participating in the "America's Green Region" partnership will use the feedback from this project to shape their own ideas about how our region can become more sustainable.
So we invite you to help Imagine KC. Check out the ways in which you can participate:
- Attend a community workshop this fall
- Hold a conversation with friends, neighbors or co-workers using our upcoming conversation-in-a-box tool (coming spring 2009)
- Join the online discussion
- Keep track of our news with Twitter (right sidebar)
