Privacy policy
OneKCVoice.org will not share your personal information, such as your home or e-mail address, with third parties. OneKCVoice.org will report aggregate information, such as the final vote tally for each community question. Compilations of feedback will be made available to public officials to inform public process.
OneKCVoice.org may periodically send e-mails to users to update them on poll results, new discussion topics or other requested information. Any user may remove themselves from such e-mail lists at any time. Instructions for removal will appear in every e-mail.

Discussion forum rules
This is a user-moderated forum. Your OneKCVoice.org signature — your name — will appear on every OneKCVoice.org comment you make, and is therefore public information. OneKCVoice.org is not responsible for content of any material posted by users.
The success of the forum is dependent on the individuals who participate. A collaborative, respectful exchange of ideas is encouraged. Simple principles:
- No personal attacks. Stay focused on the issues.
- No foul language.
- If someone has already stated your position — amplify on it, but don't repeat it.
- When you have a new idea to contribute, keep it brief and clear.
- Stand behind your ideas and your feedback — use your real name.
- Comments that are duplicates, contain no relevant information, are essentially advertisements, violate an individual's privacy, or spread unfounded rumors are not allowed.
- OneKCVoice.org reserves the right to remove posts that are not in compliance with these guidelines.
To encourage responsible discourse, OneKCVoice.org encourages users to register with their real names. Our philosophy is that individuals need to put their name and reputation behind their comments, just as in any other public venue.
OneKCVoice.org asks that users observe the same common courtesies that they would observe at any face-to-face gatherings. Users should avoid ad hominem attacks (criticisms that are aimed at the person rather than at the ideas being espoused).
OneKCVoice.org reminds users that, because tone of voice and facial expressions do not easily travel over the Internet, the intent of a message can easily be misinterpreted by others. We ask that users make the effort to type those extra few words that can change what would otherwise be a rude message into a polite, but vigorous, questioning of an idea or concept.
